I became the proud principal of Golden High School in July 2023. I have been an educator for over 22 years. Most recently, I held the position as assistant superintendent of campus activities and support in Leander ISD, Leander, Texas. Prior, I served as an area superintendent, high school principal, assistant principal and teacher in Leander ISD and Killeen ISD. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in History from Tarleton State University, and a Master’s of Education from Tarleton State University. My unique experiences provide me with an understanding of how important teamwork and communication are for the ultimate success of a school and community. I am a staunch advocate for students and seek to help them achieve at their highest potential. My goal is to provide students and staff with leadership and experience to enable everyone to pursue excellence.I plan to lead with compassion and kindness and help others reach their fullest potential while positively contributing to the world. I will blend my energy, knowledge, and professional skills to collaborate with and motivate others in transforming student learning to ensure all students will graduate, college and career ready.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife Melissa, and my two children, Seth and Sydney. I love to hike, fish, photography, and being outdoors. I enjoy reading, movies, live music, eating sushi and Mexican food, and supporting the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
I look forward to the work we will engage in together as Demons as we continue to build on all the great things happening at GHS.
